OCLife Holds National Orthodox Baby Shower

RIVERSIDE, CA, JUNE 2021 -During the month of June, Orthodox Christians for Life is organizing the first annual National Orthodox Baby Shower to support women who choose life for their unborn children. The first several newly-affiliated OCLife Parish Ministries across the country are collecting baby supplies to be donated to their local pregnancy resource centers (PRC's).

In a welcome webinar for OCLife Parish Ministry leaders last month, Communications Coordinator Louisa Rogers said, “Every single day, all around the nation, there are women in crisis, and pregnancy resource centers are on the front lines helping them.”

During 2019, 2,700 PRC’s across the country served nearly two million people, providing an estimated value of $270 million in no-cost services. These included pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, prenatal and parenting education, diapers, baby clothes, and more.

“This event is a way for our local parishes to reach out to their community, and provide support to parents in need,” said Emily Wilkinson, Executive Director of OCLife. 

Diapers and other baby supplies can be donated to your local OCLife Parish Ministry.
